Inspired by the wonderful sister/friend weekend -- see photos! and go away, internet stalkers -- I made up a game involving the friends themselves. Match the fabulous woman to the situation in which you would most want her to be with you, and that best showcases her special special talent.
Disclaimer: I mean, ideally, all of the these friends would always be there with you in all of this situations. These are just the particular specialties of each one, because she would know exactly what to do.
And sorry: This game will only be fun for some of you. My apologies to the three people who read this who have never met the sister/friends.
1. I lost my wallet and my keys and my birth certificate and my passport and my mind and anything that connects me to this earth, and I have to be somewhere really important in 20 minutes.
2. (this one is true!) I bought all this butternut squash this weekend and I'm leaving for California in two days and I want to use it before it goes bad, but I don't want soup or baked squash and I can't think of what else to do with it.
3. I need to acquire several nearly defunct drugstores, and I need to look very professional and stunning and have very smooth skin while doing so.
4. I am having an insane emotional breakdown about absolutely nothing and need someone to simultaneously set me straight, sympathize with me, laugh hysterically with me and make me feel 1000 times better. Also, I found some children who need some educatin'.
5. I need to change the oil in my car, and I need all trees to be identified as such, because I have acquired a strange disorder that does not allow me to figure out the difference between a tree and a bag of gummy bears, for instance.
Go, match, win.

And I'm sorry I didn't answer the phone when you were having your squash crisis. For the record, I would have told you to make it exactly the way you ended up doing it anyway. So, apparently I am not needed afterall.....

Yup, you win! It was Angie, Alissa, Amanda, H. and Kelly. (And K., the gummy bear reference is from that photo from Anne's and my trip summer when you're doing "tree!" with that bag of candy in Grader's. :) )
