When I was younger, I was quickly informed by a teacher's aide, "it's nitch. Rhymes with b*tch." Yep, I grew up in New Jersey. Now, I say c) neesh.
I go with option A, but I grew up in the South. We say all kinds of things weird.
I've always gone with option A myself...
nitch but with a softish ch...like borshch

We are the knights who say... "neeesh"!Actually, I usually say "nitch" when speaking colloquially. If I am specifically referring to the tiny architectural alcove or the metaphorical place in the ecosystem for a species, I will say "neesh".
