The tiniest cherry tomato ever! It is, like, half the size of a pencil eraser, but it's right there along with two wee friends. I didn't inspect the other cherry tomato plant, but it has plenty of flowers -- as do the grape tomato plants and the three mystery plants from my old neighbor. Meanwhile, back at the herb ranch, we are harvesting like crazy:
Note the first basil leaves in there. I'm now that person who foists mixed herbs on my coworkers and fills the freezer with bags labeled "chopped cilantro 7/08." Hopefully in December, it will bring a little taste of summer.(Hey, did you see that tomato?!)

I wish we were closer so you could foist some of those herbs off on me! Especially the basil, you can never have too much basil!
YAY TOMATO!! my plants have positively exploded in the past week -- the 3' stakes are too short by at least a foot -- so yours can't be too far behind me. And don't tomato plants just smell luscious?!
Nice looking tomato! :-)
I want some herbs! Will you bring me some next month?
yay tomato!
I really like the smell of tomato plants too, though it is a smell that I distinctly remember not liking at all when I was a kid.
Actually, you know what -- as long as the herbs are still going strong next month, I can bring you (Kelly) and also Shannon and also Hefk, if you want, herbs next month. Herbs for everyone! We'll see, I have a feeling the cilantro's peaking, but I've also been informed that you can freeze whole herbs with wax paper, so I will try that.
I love the smell of the tomato plants too, although it's mostly overwhelmed by the smell of the herbs. Those things mean business.
