... Sarah Palin is pleased that her daughter made the decision—on her own—to keep the baby.
But Sarah Palin doesn't believe that other girls should be able to make their own decisions. Sarah Palin believes abortion should be illegal in almost every instance—including rape and incest. So Bristol Palin is being celebrated for making a choice that Sarah Palin would like to take away from all other American women. Apparently, today's GOP believes that choice is a special right reserved for the wayward daughters of Republican elected officials.
I would vote for him for president in a heartbeat. I also had a whole ridiculous political entry planned in my head about Palin and book-banning thing and the media and this and that and blah, but a friend's husband was unexpectedly in town for dinner -- a lovely and pleasant surprise I am not complaining about, but I told myself I'd get a chunk of reading done tonight so I could do laundry and make tomato sauce* guilt-free for much of tomorrow, and then go to guilt-free yoga and guilt-free brunch with a new friend on Sunday. So, in the spirit of guilt-avoidance, I will take my leave.
Savage for President 2016. (Here's hoping there will be an incumbent Democrat in 2012, please. for heaven's sake.)
*oops! one tomato mention
