and on that farm, we had some pigs

Writing: This blog post about J's and my anniversary meal at Blue Hill Farm, which was more than kind of awesome. (We wrote it on our old wedding website, partly because I am too paranoid to point parental types to this blog and partly because it just seemed appropriate there.)

Expecting: More rejections from agents, to add to the four -- including one from the agency that solicited it -- I've already gotten. 57 more until I hit Katheryn Stockett territory.

Reading: Game of Thrones, the first science-fiction I've read in ages. Also listening to Bonk, which is sensationalist, entertaining and disturbing as hell.

Loving: My week of no-work, following our weekend of vacation. Seriously, you guys, not working is super-fun, and it would be even better if you could somehow make money from doing it permanently. We need to get on that.

I really consider Game of Thrones to be a Fantasy novel, very much in the vein of Tolkein. Only with way more intrigue. I liked it, but it's heavy.
