I also just read the Adam Sandler song in its entirety from the link on Anne's page, and I must say that this is the best verse, hands down:

"Tell your friend Veronica, its time you celebrate Hanukkah
I hope I get a harmonica, on this lovely, lovely Hanukkah."

I actually remember once trying to write some sort of Chanukah poem as a lame-ass Sunday School assignment, but I don't recall coming up with either "Veronica" or "harmonica". Those rhymes are pure genius.

Also, I just scoured the Web looking for a picture of Giuliani lighting that menorah in Israel and couldn't find it... the closest I got was a picture of him in some crowd on Ben Yehuda Street. I think my celebration will never be complete until I actually see it with my very own eyes, so if anyone else has, let me know where and how and if it was as amusing as I think it must be.

Also also, from VirtualChanukah (which is actually a little weird despite its innocuous name, but who cares): A great rabbi once remarked, "You cannot chase away darkness with a stick, you have to turn on the light."
