sittin' here on Capitol Hill
Raise your hand if you knew there was a subway connecting the Capitol building with the rest of the legislative buildings. I didn't (know about it before this morning, not raise my hand. although I didn't do that either). But now, I've ridden on it. And it was cool. So very cool. I am tired. There is also a Hair Care room in the basement of the Senate building. Apparently, Paul Mitchell products are the products of choice for your elected representatives. I saluted Pennsylvania by greeting the Robert Fulton statue in the side rotunda thing where all the states are represented. He's toying lovingly with this little model of a steamship. And I looked at the mural of George Washington ascending to heaven on the inside of the Capitol dome, which I have seen 40 million times from the outside but never from the inside until today. It was cool. Did I say that already? Raise your hand if you're tired. Paul Mitchell and Robert Fulton agree: It's time to go to sleep.
