This interview with Tim Russert's son (I can't link directly to the video, but it's worth watching) made me weepy. In that footage from a couple weeks ago, the beaming smile when irritating Matt Lauer brings up his son's graduation did me in.
I interviewed Russert after his second book came out last year, and I was extremely intimidated beforehand, and he was really normal and kind and engaged. He didn't talk down to a no-name reporter from the books section of a no-name weekly community newspaper, and he asked me about my own dad and really listened to the answer.
Plus, of all the people we couldn't affort to lose going into November. He was one of the only rational but hard-hitting voices in political journalism. Truly sad.

Well said, lady. Definitely a loss.
We watched his son this morning...when the interview was over I turned to Ernie and said "wow. what an amazing kid."
