My cousin was just talking about learning the Single Ladies dance. I sent her this link from Rachael Ray's talk show, from an episode in which she asked regular people to do the dance. Beyonce's mom is a judge! And then I had to watch it three more times because I love it so much, for some reason I cannot quite fathom. And now I have to share it with you. Hat tip to H., who originally found the video months ago.
I realized that clip doesn't include the winners, which I did find on YouTube:
But don't watch it if you don't want to question the judgement of Beyonce's mom.

Lol. That song gets stuck in my head all the time, and it has to be because I saw that episode of RR when it first aired, because I certainly don't listen to any radio station that plays that kind of music. But Joner totally cracks me up. :)
i'm glad you posted this on your blog and reminded me to watch it - this is awesome.
i'm also glad we have finally, after all these years, found a way to keep in touch. via blog comment. w00t!
Totally! I was just thinking that I feel like I know what's going on with you more than I ever have before... I love it!
And Alissa, the song is totally inescapable. I don't listen to pop radio either and somehow I know every word of the thing. (Except that I love it not-so-secretly, so I may have watched the video online like 40 times or something.)
hee! I love that your Beyonce love made your blog. you are so funny!
Sasha and I love this song, as I've blathered to you about a gajillion times, but I am somewhat comforted knowing that you like it too!
The thing about the teachers is that it was really fun for them and hooray for teacher bonding activities! The thing about the 'tweens is that they can put choreography on their bodies, BUT the thing about Joner, is that he kind of inhabits Beyonce and totally gets this song and this dance. I heart him so much! That's my unsolicited opinion about why Joner should win. always.
See, I like Joner, I really do... and I agree, he inhabits Beyonce's spirit somehow. But the teachers at LEAST should have come in second -- they were so... what's the word... sassy, maybe?
