Hm. This article in Salon, Blinded by the right, is pretty interesting -- although I think the author might be taking the guy's actual statement a little seriously, he's completely right to be alarmed that everyone is too pandering or lazy or whatever to comment on it publicly. And he's *completely* right about everyone not hesitating to jump all over Hillary about something far, far, far less serious. Everyone's up in arms about one single anti-Semitic word she supposedly said 20 years ago (and regardless of your feelings about her, you have to admit she's awfully calculating to make a move that dumb.) This guy says Jesus was "crucified by the Jews who had wanted a temporal ruler to rescue them from the oppressive Roman authorities ... He was not what the Jews expected so they considered Him a threat. Thus He was put to death." and everyone ignores it? What's that about? To answer my own question, he's not running for political office so maybe people are just dismissing him as a crackpot, but still. You'd hope his right-wing buddies would have something to say on the matter.
