Today's excitement: A friend and I have officially joined a vegetable co-op from an organic farm. We're splitting a one-person share, and for a pretty nominal amount of money the farmers deliver vegetables (and herbs and honey too) to a couple drop-off points in the city. You pick the vegetables up and take them home and stare at them, wondering how on earth you're going to cook 20 lbs. of okra or bok choi or Thai basil. But the farm even provides recipies, which I anticipate will be very helpful. Cool, no? I'm looking forward to a summer full of happy organic vegetables grown by real people on a real farm that has real soil, not raised in a sweatshop by starving 6-year-olds in Southeast Asia. Okay, that's taking it a little far. :)
And by the way, go look at starrynight because it's awesome, and other cool people should join it. Sara, this means you -- it's right up your alley. :) And H., this could be an easy and non-committment-ful intro to weblogging... you know you want to...
