I kind of feel like writing about Timothy McVeigh, but I kind of don't. I think I'm opting for the latter. It's been rehashed so many times, and I never had anything new or innovative to say in the first place -- just another death penatly opponent for exactly the same reasons you've heard other people oppose it. I will say, though, that I wish all those people executed in Texas combined had had one tenth of the attention this guy's gotten.
Enough! Instead I will show you the fun new flipflops I got at Parade of Shoes for $4 yesterday. (I bought a regular pair -- also flipflops, I love this flipflop thing -- for $25 to get these for half-price, but okay. They were still $4.) They kind of feel like you're walking on one of those sushi-rolling mats strapped to your foot with a teeny little piece of material. Which, in fact, is basically what they are.
They're also black with grey flowers, neither blue nor pink, but I'm seriously considering going back tomorrow to get one or both of those, too. I've always been one of those neutral-color-wearing people, but I sense the time may be ripe for branching out into pink shoes.
