Sorry about the lack of comments -- I miss them too. I don't have a good, long chunk of time to figure out how dotcomments works... and I have some reservations about using it anyway, a)because I did that little test with the php thing and it didn't work, so I don't feel certain it'll wind up being a successful experiment, and b)because I don't really understand it, and Harlan will have to help me a lot, and I hesitate to do that because the whole point of me having this page anyway is to teach myself how to do stuff on my own. So yeah. I'm sort of inclined to just wait for blogvoices to come back. Or not. We'll see.

In related news, however, I'm finally getting a computer at home from my company. Hurrah! So maybe I'll be able to do some of this stuff from there. The systems guy says the 56K modem in the little iMac I'm getting (it's turquoise, blech) will be between 15 and 20 times slower than what I'm used to with our T1 line, though, so I'm not sure if I'll really be chomping at the bit to be on the web all the time. After living 2+ years in my apartment with no connection and not missing it much, I don't really anticipate being online a lot. But at least I can start emailing myself things I write at home to the office, which will save me untold depths of annoyance associated with floppy disks. As well as doing the updates on Sunday nights for my job, which is the reason I'm getting the thing in the first place. (Mental note: Must remember real purpose of computer acquisition...)
