A really interesting NY Times Magazine article on aggression in girls. For some reason, this seems to be a hot topic these days, and I'm also currently reading a book about it. It's interesting, and I think most women (and certainly some men) have experienced it in some form. NOT that I believe all, or even most girls are horrifically catty and cruel -- and I think that underlying assumption is a big problem with "Odd Girl Out" -- but this relational aggression stuff is definitely evident in elementary- and middle-school girls.
