Here's something I don't quite get: I'm kind of wanderingly working on some graphics for a redesign here (I've figured out when the redesign urge strikes for me: it's as soon as I implement another phase of the redesign at work. Must be that the desire to improve stuff strikes universally...). Anyway. I never had a problem matching colors with themselves before -- as in, when I put the 99c4e9 for the blue background of this page into Photoshop to effectively erase the background of an image, it matched perfectly. Now, however, I stick the color into Photoshop, put it in a graphic, load the graphic on a dummy page, and the color is noticably different than the background. I don't get it.
I can think of a few ways to get around it (like making the background transparent, which requires me to save stuff as .gifs, thereby making the text look yucky), but that's not the point... I want to know why it's happening. Why is it happening? :)
