The v. wonderful guy who runs Radio Paradise is quoted in a Daily News article on MTV turning 20. Remember "Yo! MTV Raps"? I knew about as much about rap in 1988 as I do now (i.e. less than nothing) but I do remember watching "Yo! MTV Raps" with a long-ago friend while lying on her parents' turquoise-colored bed, eating grape Fun Dip and brushing each other's hair.

I don't like it when people romanticize childhood, but I would definitely trade this for my 10-year-old summer... maybe not the turquoise comforter or the "Yo! MTV Raps," but the hair brushing would be nice... and the grape Fun Dip...
